We’re in search for an experienced Business Analyst that specializes in Capital markets and Investment Banking. In this role, you’ll primarily be working with the product managers and the firms to gather requirements, elaborate on the requirements, work with the developer and QA teams to ensure the requirements are understood.
About the Team
Reporting to the Manager of the Product Team, this role is part of a Scrum team supporting a product(s) within the core BETA Host team. This team works closely with one of our largest clients, to provide enhancements for longer term projects across various functional areas of the BETA HOST system. This role will be involved in daily project meetings and Scrum meetings. This will require heavy collaboration. Our business model is hybrid, working from our Bangalore campus.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for business requirements gathering, functional design, providing support of user acceptance testing and project implementation. This position will interact with all levels of the organization to ensure timely completion with the highest degree of quality of industry, regulatory and client initiatives. Core responsibilities will include:
- Gather user requirements from external/internal clients via User Requirements Documentation and/or end-user interviews
- Participate in project estimation process
- Build relationships with various external and internal stakeholders
- Along with stakeholders and technical development staff, create functional design documents based upon user requirements
- Develop a strong test plan to ensure project quality
- Develop and execute test scripts for functional testing, ensuring that all identified requirements have been thoroughly tested and defects and/or results have been properly documented
- Provide on-going project support for regression, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing
- Report project status to stakeholders as well as project management or senior executives
- Develop a professional rapport with the project stakeholders and maintain an excellent level of client satisfaction
- Create implementation plans and validate the successful implementation of projects
- Share your passion for staying on top of trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external wealth management communities, mentoring other members of the financial technology community
Your Experience:
- 6-10 years of professional and hands on experience in a Business Analysts role; preferably in the brokerage or financial services industry.
- An experience in client facing document writing like scope document, functional documents, use cases as well as Acceptance criteria would be preferred.
- Should have an experience in presenting product demo’s to the stakeholders both internal and external.
- Knowledge in REST API, SoapUI / ReadyAPI, REST-assured would be advantages.
- Bachelor’s degree or more in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field
- A track record of projects completed on time – you are a flawless executor, not a procrastinator
- Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices, and Agile Software Development
- Ability to understand and communicate simple to somewhat involved technical concepts
- Excellent analytical problem solving, organization, interpersonal, & communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- The willingness to learn new technologies and/or you should be able to get up-to-speed on them quickly
- Work autonomously and in teams, are excited by new technologies and industry initiatives, and will never back down from the challenges of scale
