We are searching for an experienced Import Customer service Officer at our MSC Saudi Arabia - Jeddah facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Import Customer service Officer is responsible for the smooth and proactive coordination of import shipments arriving at key Saudi Arabian ports. The role involves direct communication with customers, coordination with internal departments and international MSC agents, and ensuring timely and accurate handling of all operational and administrative processes related to imports.

Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding import shipments arriving at Saudi ports (Jeddah, Dammam, etc.).
Manage and oversee the end-to-end import process such as Documentation verification Terminal release coordination Manifest correction...etc
Coordinate with global MSC agents to ensure timely and accurate data entry and manifest adjustments.
Respond to customer inquiries professionally and provide timely updates on shipment statuses.
Resolve any issues that may arise during the import process, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimal delays.
Monitor container dwell times and take necessary actions to avoid penalties.
Maintain accurate records of all communication and shipment-related actions in the internal systems.
Report operational challenges and suggest improvements to the Team Lead.
Collaborate with other departments such as Export, Operations, Documentation, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, International Business, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in import customer service, shipping, or freight forwarding (preferably within the maritime sector).
Fluency in English is required; Arabic is highly preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with shipping/logistics platforms is a plus.
Team player with a proactive and customer-oriented mindset.
