Specialist - Investment Opportunities
Job Objectives
Develop programs and initiatives to attract investment in the social care and services field. Find financing alternatives and solutions that support sustainable community development. Support the Authority's departments with knowledge, action, and the design the suitable marketing packages to enhance the community's role in supporting social initiatives and projects, serving the needs of the most vulnerable groups and beneficiaries of financial benefits.
Operational Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop social service packages to be presented to companies and entities wishing to invest in the social care and services field, to provide alternative financing solutions.
- Identify available investment opportunities, study investment projects received from specialized departments, and submit appropriate investment proposals to strategic partners, the private sector, third parties, and others.
- Conduct studies to determine the feasibility of privatizing social services and the Authority's work in accordance with the approved system, standards, regulations, and frameworks.
- Follow up on the implementation of various investment projects with partners, in coordination with concerned departments, to ensure compliance with the terms of agreements and prepare periodic reports regarding progression.
- Conduct periodic evaluations of investment projects, identify challenges, develop proposals with recommended solutions to overcome obstacles and provide services efficiently and effectively.
- Propose key performance indicators to measure the achievement of investment projects and their outcomes, follow-up to ensure implementation, and prepare periodic reports to monitor the results of key performance indicators based on service quality, targeted outcomes, achievements, and approved timelines, and submit recommendations.
- Measure the impact of investment projects in the social sector, prepare reports, submit improvement recommendations, and propose measures to develop the achievement of targeted outcomes.
- Propose investment projects to external entities, including local and international companies and institutions, in the field of social sector development, and follow up on the implementation of approved projects and initiatives with the Authority's concerned departments.
- Follow-up partnerships with government agencies and the for-profit sector to develop social services in the Emirate of Dubai and provide these services in accordance with standards.
- Monitor the flow and disbursement of financial resources provided to the Authority through contributions, grants, donations, zakat, endowments, or any other approved resources, and prepare related financial reports.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a communications plan and build relationships with stakeholders from the public, private, and third sectors.
- Adhere to the Authority's approved information security policies and procedures and ensure compliance with controls to ensure the confidentiality of information.
- Any other duties and responsibilities within the scope of the job responsibilities.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in investment projects.
