Consultant - Advisory (Capital Projects & Consulting) - Bilingual Speaker Mandatory
We have a challenging opportunity opened up for the role of Consultant in our Capital Projects & Construction practice.
The Consultant role at Protiviti is integral to the success of client engagements and project execution. It requires strong analytical capabilities, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Consultants support business development initiatives by contributing to proposal development, market research, and identifying opportunities within client accounts. They develop a solid understanding of the client’s business, industry trends, and key challenges, allowing them to deliver insightful and impactful solutions.
They are expected to demonstrate growing technical competence in their service area and industry, while also building strong working relationships with client personnel. Consultants play a key role in delivering high-quality work, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting the successful execution of projects.
Additionally, Consultants represent Protiviti professionally in client interactions and the broader business community, contributing to a positive brand image and helping to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Role Requirements
Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
- End-to-end delivery of advisory and assurance assignments with regional clients.
- Providing expertise and professional advice to client organizations on the effective implementation, governance, and risk management of Capital Projects , ensuring alignment with leading practices.
- Identify the value drivers and cost-saving opportunities we will be providing to clients through effective capital expenditure management, project controls, and lifecycle risk assessments .
- Review and assess project feasibility studies, business cases, and project charters to validate alignment with organizational strategy and objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of capital project governance frameworks , including roles, responsibilities, decision-making structures, and delegation of authority.
- Assess procurement strategies, contract management, and vendor performance across the project lifecycle to identify risks, inefficiencies, and compliance gaps.
- Drive overall client satisfaction through effective coordination and communication, especially during complex and multi-stakeholder project environments.
- Provide support to the Managers and Directors to understand the client's requirements and develop effective proposals, project-specific audit approaches , and any other collateral required.
- Build a strong network of contacts and leverage it for business development, particularly with stakeholders involved in large-scale infrastructure and capital investments.
- Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, and finance professionals.
- Manage multiple engagements at a given time, often across diverse capital project portfolios (real estate, infrastructure, industrial, etc.).
- Prepare client presentations (for different target audiences - CXOs, Board of Directors, Audit Committees), incorporating insights from project risk assessments, cost and schedule analysis, and capital program performance reviews .
Desired Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with relevant discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Construction etc.) or Architecture.
- Master's in Business Administration (Finance, Strategy, Operations, and General Management).
- Experience of working in any of the Big 4 consulting firms in the region with focus on Capital Projects Advisory, including dispute resolution.
- Candidate with Minimum 3 years of industry related / relevant consulting experience with in-depth understanding of the Capital Projects domain. Key areas of expertise expected include project planning and schedule management, cost estimation, quantity surveying, budgeting and accounting.
- Understanding of project controls, QA/QC, contract administration, procurement and construction / project risk management.
- Exposure to project management and operations reviews, BPI and PMO.
- Exposure to digital interventions in project management arena.
- Exposure to diverse industries including Rail Transport, Real Estate, Contracting, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas and industrial projects.
- Must have strong local/regional community network and be an active member of trade and professional associations.
