People Advisory HR Manager
Please note: This is a 12m Fixed Term Contract This vacancy is for the People Advisory team, which sits within People Lifecycle and is part of wider People Solutions within the People Function.
To support our firm of circa 24,000 people within the UK we have a strong People Lifecycle team who provide professional advice to our Career and Talent Coaches and guide our business stakeholders through operational HR activities, delivering a consistent & professional service that enables and enhances business performance.
The People Advisory team supports people related matters, delivers people related projects and guides our Career and Talent Coaches.
The role will manage the Career and Talent Coach Support Team (CTCST), a pillar which sits within the People Advisory team.
The People Advisory Team Managers are responsible for overseeing all team activity and line managing the Advisors (Senior Associates) and Associates. The advisors in the team manage a portfolio of cases. They guide our Career & Talent Coaches through complex people related matters, deliver people related projects, work to continuously improve our policies and processes using technology and help our business make strategic decisions informed by high quality data insights.
This manager role provides expert advice and guidance to our Career & Talent Coach community, enabling them to support their coaches from joining PwC all the way through their careers with us.
This includes collaborating with other teams within the People Function as part of the management of various case types and cyclical activities.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Owning the Line Management of the sub-team, along with coaching advice to the Advisors, guiding them through cases & queries and acting as an escalation point.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to Career & Talent Coaches with matters relating to Health & Wellbeing and other pastoral care issues.
- Using MI specifically through the Query Management system to identify trends and predict future training requirements for Career & Talent Coaches and provides a monthly MI pack.
- Building relationships with other People teams, proactively linking in to collaborate on Career/Talent Coach matters and guidance, in particular the ERPA and People Consultant teams.
- Designing and delivering training and knowledge articles to upskill our Career & Talent Coach population in their roles.

Advising employees and colleagues across the People Function on complex people related matters.
The successful applicant must have experience at Manager level
- Proven experience in Case Management and handling Employee Relation matters.
- Deep understanding of core HR processes and HR management practices.
- Experience in managing teams and coaching others.
- The ability to efficiently maintain, manipulate and interpret high volumes of data.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to prepare data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Experience of facilitating training sessions, both virtually and in-person.
- Experience with implementing and managing process improvements across large people functions and firmwide.
- Experience in a large scale, complex business in a Professional Services environment
- Ability to build strong trusted relationships with stakeholders.
