Summary:

Zayani Motors is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Job Controller – Automotive to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication and leadership skills to oversee our workshop operations. The Job Controller is responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations to ensure high-quality, timely, and profitable vehicle repairs. This role leads and mentors a team of technicians, manages bay utilization and labor efficiency, and enforces strict compliance with manufacturer warranty, ISO/DOS standards, and Health & Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage workshop flow, bay utilization, labor efficiency, and overall profitability.

• Analyze and document repeat repairs to eliminate recurring issues.

• Conduct road tests and quality diagnosis checks before vehicle delivery.

• Lead, coach, motivate, and direct workshop staff to achieve daily targets.

• Identify training needs, coordinate developmental plans, and mentor apprentices.

• Maintain ongoing technical expertise through training courses, technical bulletins, and professional development.

• Ensure strict adherence to ISO, DOS compliance, and Group Internal Audit standards.

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities.

• Accurately complete repair documentation and generate manufacturer technical reports.

• Enforce compliance with manufacturer warranty guidelines and repair procedures.

• Maintain a safe, orderly working environment in line with Health & Safety policies.

• Ensure proper upkeep of workshop equipment, work areas, and protective gear.

• Partner with the parts department to ensure high parts availability.

• Communicate directly with customers regarding vehicle issues to uphold quality service standards.

• Focus on customer satisfaction by maintaining high output quality and systematically meeting goals.

• Demonstrate technical expertise and introduce process improvements.

• Take initiative, make quick, tough decisions, and take ownership of projects and people.

• Work productively under pressure, manage stress effectively, and accept constructive feedback.

Requirements:

• Diploma degree or any certificate in a related field

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and profitability

• Knowledge of automotive industry trends and developments

• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
