Founding Account Executive — Digital Marketing Sales

In Stride Media is looking for a motivated salesperson who can open doors, understand a business owner's challenges and close new business. As our first dedicated sales hire, you'll own the sales process from first outreach through signed agreement and help shape how a growing marketing company wins clients.

We help small and midsize businesses generate leads and measure results through Google Ads, local SEO, website and landing-page improvements, and conversion tracking.

The skills we're looking for

• Prospecting: You can build a pipeline through targeted calls, personalized emails, referrals and local networking. You're comfortable initiating conversations and following up consistently.
• Consultative selling: You ask thoughtful questions, uncover business needs, qualify budgets and decision-makers, and connect a service to the client's goals.
• Closing ability: You have personally sourced and closed business. You can explain value, handle objections, discuss pricing and move opportunities toward a clear decision.
• Communication: You write clear outreach, lead professional client conversations and present proposals in language business owners understand.
• Pipeline management: You keep accurate CRM records, prioritize opportunities and follow through on commitments. HubSpot experience is a plus.
• Ownership and coachability: You organize your work independently, take feedback well and use it to improve your approach.

Experience that will help you succeed

Experience selling digital marketing, advertising, software or other B2B services is especially relevant. We'd like to hear specific examples of how you've found prospects, managed a sales cycle and won business.

Familiarity with Google Ads, local SEO, lead generation or website conversion is helpful, as is experience working with small-business owners. You'll receive support in learning our services and developing proposals, with the founder leading technical validation and delivery.

You must be able to attend client meetings in Saratoga Springs and the Capital Region .

What you'll do

• Identify businesses that fit our services and create new sales opportunities.
• Run discovery meetings, develop proposals and close appropriately scoped work.
• Build relationships with business owners and local referral partners.
• Maintain your pipeline in HubSpot and coordinate clear handoffs to delivery.
• Help improve our outreach, sales materials and process as the company grows.

Compensation and benefits

• $40,000–$50,000 annual base salary, based on experience.
• Uncapped commissions and performance bonuses.

Detailed compensation terms will be provided before offer acceptance. This is a full-time, nonexempt role with a planned 40-hour week.

Target start: November, 2026 , with the final date agreed together.
