Boiler Operator
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Boiler Operator to oversee the safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of industrial boiler systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on operating experience, and a solid understanding of boiler safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor industrial steam and hot-water boilers to ensure efficient and reliable performance.
Track operating parameters, including pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel consumption.
Inspect boiler components and auxiliary equipment, including safety valves, pumps, compressors, and ventilation fans.
Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
Conduct boiler-water quality tests and assist with water-treatment processes.
Identify equipment faults, troubleshoot operational issues, and respond promptly to alarms and emergencies.
Maintain accurate operating logs, maintenance records, and fuel-consumption reports.
Follow established safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable operating standards.
Requirements
Relevant technical qualification and a valid Class 1 Boiler Operator Certificate or equivalent.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience operating industrial boilers.
Strong understanding of boiler operations, pressure systems, safety controls, and water treatment.
Practical experience with steam and hot-water boiler systems.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and respond effectively to abnormal operating conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
